My sculptures are made of different types of stone, with a preference for granite. Familiar forms from the world of geometry start, as I work, to have an organic life and their own being-ness. I work in Holland and in Italy.
The creation of a sculpture is the search for a form, which I can sense, but not yet see; a journey towards an essential reality. Each time it is the stone which leads and slowly the sculpture reveals herself and claims her position in space. At the same time the surrounding and the inner spaces arise and her presence is as if she has always been there; as a natural condition of the endless motion of creation and decay.
